Our Purpose
Clear Skies!
“Airplanes emit trails that linger, disperse, and form clouds that block the sun.”
We are dedicated to restoring sunny skies and separating fact from fiction regarding aircraft trails based on logic and reason while offering pragmatic solutions.

What is a chemtrail?
Simply put, a chemtrail is a chemical trail released in the sky. With this over-simplified definition, a stream of water could be considered a chemical trail of dihydrogen monoxide (H2O), however, that would make almost everything a chemtrail rendering the word meaningless. Therefore, we need to dig a little deeper to understand what the majority of people mean when they use the slang term chemtrail.
People often use the terms chemtrail, weather modification, and geoengineering interchangeably, but few actually understand what these words mean. Being able to understand and use different terminology is key to understanding chemtrail facts. Interpreting what is happening in the sky above is going to require you to have a firm grasp of terminology and understand what each of these technologies intend to produce.

CHEMTRAILS | CONTRAILS | |
---|---|---|
WHAT ARE THEY | “Contrails disappear. Chemtrails stick around.” | Contrails can spread and turn into man-made cirrus clouds. |
CREATED BY | Dedicated spray equipment, EG. pumps, pipes, nozzles. | Jet exhaust and atmospheric conditions. |
BROKEN LINES | Intermittent trails due to on/off switch or system malfunction. | Intermittent trails due to diverse atmospheric conditions. |
INCREASED CLOUDINESS | More clouds due to increase in budget for spraying (more planes, more often). | More clouds due to increased flights and social awareness. |
HARM | Only visible when spray systems are turned on. No clouds = no spray day = no harm. | Jet exhaust harms life and environment regardless of visibile contrail cirrus. |
Check The Evidence
“Contrails disappear. Chemtrails stick around.”
This is the most commonly stated belief which is clearly false. Contrails can be short-lived, long and linear, or persistent (spreading out and creating man-made cirrus clouds).
Contrails, the white trails behind airplanes, form when hot, moist engine exhaust mixes with cold air, creating ice crystals. Predicting their formation began during World War II in the early 1940s, as pilots sought to avoid detection by the enemy. The Schmidt-Appleman Criterion (SAC), a method to forecast contrail formation based on temperature, humidity, and engine output, was developed by Ernst Schmidt and Herbert Appleman. Schmidt first published his foundational work in 1940, while Appleman released a practical chart in 1953. This criterion remains vital today for studying contrails' effects on weather and climate.
There are contrail forming regions in the sky. Inside those contrail forming regions are areas known as Ice Supersaturated Regions (ISSR). Any plane flying in an ISSR will likely create persistent contrails that spread out and create man-made cirrus clouds.

“Dedicated spray equipment”
Dane Wigington's 2021 documentary film “The Dimming” has cemented the “we are being sprayed” narrative for many millions who have watched it. At a mere 2 minutes and 30 seconds into this sci-fi film, Dane claims that high-bypass turbofan jet engines, which are on nearly every commercial and military aircraft, can not create contrails. This is actually false. High-bypass turbofans create more contrails due to their fuel efficiency and lower exhaust temperature.

Contrails form from water vapor created by burning kerosine which rapidly cools and condenses on black carbon (soot) and metal nanoparticles in the exhaust plume.
For a direct test, a formation flight of two different large jet air- craft was arranged, wing by wing, during an ascent and a descent of the aircraft. Contrail formation and ambient conditions were observed simultaneously from a research aircraft. The two contrail
forming aircraft were 1) a Boeing B707-307C built in 1968 and equipped with four jet engines of type PW JT3D-3B with bypass ratio of 1.4 and 2) an Airbus A340-300 built in 1998 with four jet engines of type CFM56-5C4 with bypass ratio of 6.8.
...
A contrail was observed to form during ascent first behind the A340 at 7:28:40, at flight level 33,300ft. The B707 continued to ascend nearby without a contrail (Fig. 2). About 50 s later, at altitude of about 33,700 ft, a contrail formed also behind the B707 at 7:29:30. The contrails were observed to be forming very suddenly and persisted thereafter. During descent from flight level 35,000ft, the contrails disappeared first behind the B707 and disappeared shortly thereafter behind the A340.
...
As documented in several photographs, an altitude range exists in which the A340 causes contrails while the B707 causes none. Figure 2 shows this fact during ascent and Fig. 3 during descent. The photographs show the contrails best during descent due to the more favorable sun and Falcon positions relative to the two other aircraft. We clearly see the four contrails forming from the four engines of the A340 while the B707 is seen flying without contrails.

Twenty seconds later into “The Dimming”, Dane shows his proof that these are not contrails but are “intentionally sprayed chemicals” for the purpose of geoengineering: Retro-fitted Spray Nozzles. These are not after-market installed spray pipes. In fact, they are pylon drains installed in the Airbus factory, with the purpose of draining fuel or oil leaks to prevent explosions. This is proven by Airbus patents and training manuals for technicians who do maintenance on the Airbus A319, A320, and A321. More Info.

“Increased Cloudiness and Awareness”
You see more contrails now than in the past because:
• There is more air traffic
• Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) means planes tend to fly higher as you can now pack more flights into the higher altitudes, which are more desirable for efficiency, so more planes at contrail altitude.
• Regional carriers are now more likely to use jets rather than turboprops, so fly higher, so more planes at contrail altitude.
• There are more routes now, so more regions see contrails from flyover traffic
• Higher efficiency engines means cooler exhaust, so contrails form in a wider range of temperatures, hence a wider range of altitudes.
• People pay more attention to contrails, because of the "chemtrail" theory, social media, and cameras on every smartphone.
